What exactly is an E-Cigarette?

An electronic cigarette (e-cig or e-cigarette) or personal vaporizer (PV) is a battery-powered device which simulates tobacco smoking by producing a vapour that resembles smoke. It uses a heating element known as an atomizer that vaporizes a liquid solution known as E-Liquid.

I’ve heard conflicting reports, how do I know what’s in the E-Liquid?

Unlike a cigarette, which can have up to 4,000 different chemicals, we only use 4 base ingredients in all of our E-Liquid. These ingredients are:

    • Distilled Water
    • Propylene Glycol
    • Vegetable Glycerin
    • Pharmaceutical Grade Nicotine

Yes but it’s not your E-Liquid, it’s all made in Asia…

All of our liquid is made in our state of the art factory in County Carlow, Ireland. The factory operates under the good manufacturing code and operates using natural process manufacturing techniques. We only use ingredients sourced from fully certified and approved suppliers from within the EU.

So, bearing all this in mind, is Vaping healthier than smoking?

While current legislation prevents us from making any such medical claims, we would encourage you to look at some of the most recent research in the field.

E-cigarettes around 95% less harmful than tobacco estimates landmark review

New study comes the closest yet to proving that e-cigarettes aren’t as dangerous as smoking

Is vaping cheaper than smoking?

E-Liquid is generally a lot cheaper than cigarettes. For example, it’s possible for an Irish smoker smoking 20 cigarettes a day who switches to vaping to save close to €4,000 a year by using our product.

What about other benefits?

Now you’re just being greedy, but ok here is some other good news:

Do e-cigarettes leave a smell in your house or on clothes ?

No. Electronic cigarette leaves no lasting odor in either your house or your clothes.

What about secondhand smoke?

Unlike smoking within Electronic cigarettes there is no combustion process and therefore there is no tar components in the vapour during exhalation and as such poses no known health concerns. Trace amounts of nicotine contained in the vapour quickly evaporates into the air.

I tried it once before and the tobacco flavour didn’t taste like my brand...

We know changing the habit of a lifetime is not easy so we have developed 12 different types of tobacco flavour. Most of the other brands on the market only offer one or two different types of tobacco flavour, so you are not getting the taste you are used to.

Our customers tell us that each different flavour is very close to the real thing. Also, lots of E-Liquids on the market use cheaper, industrial grade nicotine. We only use the much more expensive pharmaceutical grade Nicotine. This gives our E-Liquid it’s much smoother taste and doesn’t give you that harsh sensation on the back of your throat that you may experience with other E-Liquids.

Any other flavours?

Along with the 12 types of tobacco flavour we have a further (68?) fruit and drink flavours for you to choose from. All of our flavours come in 5 Nicotine levels;

    • 0mg
    • 6mg
    • 12mg
    • 18mg

We also stock a wide variety of Premium E-Liquids for the more advanced vaper.

I’ve never used an E-Cigarette before, what do I need to start with?

A starter kit is highly recommended if you have made the decision to make the switch to a cheaper and healthier alternative. A starter kit includes everything you need to start vaping with the exception of the E-Liquid, which is sold separately. Click here to view our Getting Started guide.

Ok you’ve convinced me, but what Nicotine strength should I be using?

Good question, here is a rough guide:

6mg/0.6% (low) Up to 10 cigarettes a day or social smoker/'light' brands
12mg/1.2% (medium) Up to 20 cigarettes a day
18mg/1.8% (high) Up to 30 cigarettes a day
24mg/2.4% (very high) Up to 60 cigarettes a day

What is TDP compliance?

TPD means the Tobacco Protocol Directive 2014/40/EU, a set of European Regulations. ALL E-cigarettes, Electronic Cigarettes, E-liquids, refill containers and cartridges must, by law, comply with these regulations. You can learn more about TDP Compliance here.
