National no smoking day always falls on Ash Wednesday and this year even with Covid19 and the lockdown is no different. February 17th, 2021 is Ireland’s National no smoking day and it’s time to make the change.
We’ve all known someone who has been affected by illness caused from tobacco and. We know its bad for us and costs a bomb, but quitting is hard.
This year we at hale vaping & VIP would like to help you quit for good "We know that there are millions of smokers out there who successfully stopped smoking by switching to vaping," says Peter Hajek, a public health researcher at Queen Mary University of London.
Hajek and his colleagues enrolled nearly 900 people who wanted to quit smoking into their study. 50% randomly got e-cigarettes. The other 50% got traditional nicotine replacement products: nicotine patches plus gum, lozenges, nicotine inhalers or whatever kind of oral nicotine they preferred.
"The e-cigarettes were significantly more effective than nicotine replacement treatment," Peter Hajek, a public health researcher at Queen Mary University of London. In Professor Hajek’s study vaping proved twice as likely as gum to help smokers quit.
The use of vaping products gives the person a reduced nicotine withdrawal feeling and aids with the hand to mouth habit. The person can then reduce the levels of nicotine used as they go on a journey to become nicotine free. E Cigarettes unlike its tobacco counterpart do not have to be a lifelong commitment.
We believe strongly in National No smoking day and to help people quit smoking and make the change today Hale Vaping and VIP are offering a 10% discount Sunday 14th through to Wednesday 17th.
